Actor & Scenic Creator

Matheus
Grossi

I work from physicality, emotion and risk. I am drawn to spaces where the intimate and the political meet, where the scene breathes truth.

Actor
and Scenic
Creator

Matheus Grossi is a Brazilian actor, scenic creator and cultural producer based in Mexico.

His career combines over sixteen years of experience in communication, narrative and cultural projects with scenic training developed between Brazil and Mexico. After a career dedicated to building stories through strategy and communication, he redirected his work towards acting and artistic creation.

Born in Brazil and holding Italian citizenship, he has lived in Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Brussels, Rome, Paris and Mexico City. The experience of moving between different cultures and geographies is an important influence on his artistic vision and the themes he explores as performer and creator.

He has trained at institutions including the Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras (Brazil), the Centro Dramático de Michoacán and La Casa del Teatro (Mexico), where he has studied under masters such as Luis de Tavira, Laura Almela, Diana Sedano, Violeta Sarmiento, Ingrid Cebada and Mariana Villalobos, among others.

Among his audiovisual work, the short film Tócame stands out, directed by Patricia Leih, winner of the Best Erotic Short Film Award at the Hallucinea Film Festival in Paris and finalist at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival. For his role in this project, he received the Best Advertising Image recognition from the Asociación Mexicana de Cineastas Independientes (AMCI).

He currently continues developing his work as an actor between theatre and audiovisual, with a particular interest in complex characters and narratives that explore identity, desire, memory and human transformation.
